Workshop: Layered Domed Enamel NecklaceFebruary 4th, Sunday 1-4 pm$85.00Instructor: Jen TownsendLearn the art of copper enameling while you make a layered necklace. We will cover basic sifting and layering techniques with access to a large selection of colors and copper shapes. You will be firing your pieces in a 1500 degree kiln to allow the powdered glass enamel to fuse to the copper surface. Sterling silver plated chains will be provided so you can have a finished handmade necklace ready to wear home! All materials and tools will be provided.Class is open to any student ages 16+.This workshop is open to four students. For your safety, closed toe shoes are required for this workshop. The Smithery Cancellation Policy: Due to the small class sizes and demand for each seat, if you are unable to attend a class please notify us as soon as possible so we can allow for someone else to fill the seat. Please note, we do not offer refunds for cancellations, but we can offer credit to be applied toward a future workshop based on the timeframe in which you have notified us of your cancellation.If you need to cancel for any reason: If you notify us at least 3 days prior to the workshop date, you will receive a 100% credit towards another workshop.Less than 3 days notice, you will receive a 50% credit towards another workshop.If canceled the day of the workshop or if you are a No-Show to class, you will not receive any credit.Parking: Please allow extra time for parking as it does get busy on Grandview Avenue in the evenings and on weekends. Street parking can be found along Grandview Avenue. There is also a large parking lot directly across the street from The Smithery, located behind Spagio and Staufs. Additionally, the parking lot behind Grandview Carryout at the corner of Grandview Avenue and 3rd is an option as well as the parking lot near the post office, further down Grandview Avenue.
