CGMC is honored to be teaming up with Columbus Metropolitan Library and the Philadelphia Gay Men’s Chorus in this exchange concert to present Two Boys Kissing. New York Times bestselling author David Levithan has collaborated with composer Joshua Shank to create a concert with spoken word based on his 2013 Lambda Literary Award winning book, Two Boys Kissing. Based on true events—and narrated by a Greek Chorus of the generation of gay men lost to AIDS—the story follows two seventeen-year-olds who are about to take part in a 32-hour marathon of kissing to set a new Guinness World Record. While the two increasingly dehydrated and sleep-deprived boys are locking lips, they become a focal point in the lives of other teens dealing with universal questions of love, identity, and belonging. The Columbus Metropolitan Library will be hosting author David Levithan for an author talk as part of the Library's Carnegie Author Series at 7pm on Friday, March 9, 2018 at the Main Library at 96 South Grant Ave., Columbus, OH 43215.CGMC and PGMC will present the joint concert at the historic Lincoln Theatre at 769 E Long St, Columbus, OH 43203 at 8pm Saturday, March 10, and 2pm Sunday March 11, 2018.For more information, visit: www.cgmc.com and http://www.columbuslibrary.org/special-events
