March 14: Lefty and Loosey | Nocebo | The Quiet Ones | The ForgottenVSA Ohio and partners present the 2018 ReelAbilities Film Festival in Columbus at the Gateway Film Center with FREE screenings of award-winning films and local presentations that celebrate the lives, stories, and art of people with disabilities. ReelAbilities Film Festival in Columbus is free and open to the public with screenings every other month, January through November 2018.   Thirteen films including full-length features and shorts addressing some of the many facets of the disability experience will be screened, coming from the US and abroad. Columbus is one of 16 cities in the States to present the traveling program of the New York ReelAbilities Film Festival. ReelAbilities brings the community together to explore, discuss and celebrate the diversity of our shared human experience.  SCREENING MARCH 14TH, 2018:Lefty & Loosey 5 minutes | USA Private investigators Lefty and Loosey uncover a diabolical plot and must save the world. Nocebo 38 minutes | Germany Reality and imagination blur as Christian and Anna escape from a fatal drug study. Neither the police nor doctors believe their story, since Christian is diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia. The Quiet Ones 15 minutes | UK In this murder mystery, a teacher at a boarding school for the deaf is brutally murdered, and the suspects are narrowed down to four students. The Forgotten 27 minutes | Russia  A sign language theater director has a love affair with his lead actress, but is unable to leave his wife.  Matinee : 10:30am (film only) Evening : 6:00pm social hour in the Gateway's Torpedo Room with a Collaborative Documentary of the evening's event made live including interviews of attendees, with camera work and direction by YOU!                 7:00pm Film screening 2018 ReelAbilities Film Festival Columbus is always free and always at Gateway Film Center.
