The Bunyaad organization, formed in the late 1960s, has been committed to transcending differences by intentionally working with artisans of different faiths and backgrounds. Today, the Bunyaad rug artisan group includes over 850 families in over 100 villages throughout Pakistan. All artisans are paid a fair wage and guaranteed safe and humane working conditions. Bunyaad Fair Trade rugs are designed, knotted, and finished by artisans in Pakistan. The rugs are available in sizes ranging from in sizes from 2’x3 to 10’x14 and runners and in styles from Classic to Contemporary, including some rugs made with natural dyes.
