Presented in collaboration with the Columbus Symphony, this free performance explores the chamber music of three acclaimed composers whose symphonic music is also being featured this season by the Columbus Symphony. Pieces to be performed are "Kaman Fantasy" (2014) by Saad Haddad; "Sobre um quadro de Júlio Pomar" (2013) by Andreia Pinto-Correia; and "Light and Matter" (2014) by Kaija Saariaho. Featured musicians include Columbus Symphony members Joanna Frankel (violin); Luis Biava (cello); Jennifer Volk (flute); and Suzanne Newcomb (piano).This concert is part of the “New Music at Short North Stage” free concert series. Cocktails will be available for starting at 6:00 p.m. at Ethel’s Lounge, adjacent to the theater. Seating is limited and available on a first-come first-served basis. Recommended for guests age nine and older.
