About the Event:

On April 26-28, 2019, OhioDance, the state-wide dance network organization, will hold its annual festival co-sponsored by Ohio State University, Department of Dance, Columbus. There are classes, workshops, discussions and performances over the three days. Events will take place at the OSU Department of Dance Studios and Barnett Theatre, Sullivant Hall, 1813 North High St. Columbus OH 43210. The guest artist will be Marlana Doyle, Artistic Director of the Houston METdance Company. Marlana will serve as our guest speaker. She will travel with two company dancers; Andres de Blust-Mommaerts and Risa D’Souza. The three will teach two classes, Contemporary Jazz and METdance rep.  Company dancers, Andres and Risa will perform a duet in the Saturday evening concert.A Young Artist’s Concert starts the weekend event on Friday, April 26, 2019 from 10:30am-11:30am. Classes will follow. Saturday, April 27, 2019, classes will be held from 9:00am to 5:00pm, with a performance starting at 7:00pm. Sunday, April 28, 2019 will be classes and an OhioDance documentary film, from 10:00am to 3:00pm. All events will be held in the OSU Dept. of Dance Studios and Barnett Theatre.
