Aerial Silks/Circus Arts Classes

Presented by Sokol Greater Cleveland Aerial Silks Circus Arts Program

Venue: Czech Cultural Center

City: Cleveland

Aerial silks is an athletic, circus art discipline most often associated with Cirque du Soleil. It involves paired lengths of fabric hung from above that are climbed, wrapped around the body, and/or tied to create dramatic drops, poses and movement above the ground. Participation in aerial silks helps to build strength, flexibility, coordination & balance. Classes are offered almost every Sunday & Wednesday in Cleveland, OH. Classes are $20 each, or $80 for a 5-class card. Discounts are available for members of the Sokol organization. This facility has four fabrics mounted directly to structural support beams at heights of 22 ft and 24 ft, allowing for swinging and drops, with a fifth rigging point available at 19 ft. All classes are mixed level. Please come about 15 minutes early the day of your first class to read and sign forms. Wear close-fitting clothes made of synthetic fiber blends (nylon, spandex, etc) that cover the knees, torso, and underarms. Yoga pants and an athletic top are fine for your first class. PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE IN THESE CLASSES. NO WALK-INS ALLOWED. Reserve your space at:
