Celebrate the International Year of Astronomy 2009, by looking through 400 years of the evolution of the Astronomical Telescopes. There will be solar observing, comet making, astronomical imaging demonstrations, radio astronomy, telescope making, a Perkins Observatory tour, observing at night by CAS telescopes, and much more. The event takes place at Perkins Observatory (Rt. 23, 10 miles north of 270), Saturday, August 8 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Arrive before 8 p.m, because gates will shut promptly at 8 p.m. There is a $5.00 charge per car.
