In this bookbinding class you'll explore more advanced techniques to create a multiple signature book with raised bands on the leather spine. Based on books dating back to the medieval times, this wonderful quarter-bound book form is traditional in style and uses cords, leather, bookcloth and fine papers in its construction. Class size limited to a small group. All materials supplied. Please bring BTK and awl, as well as, a sack lunch or snack. Optional: a sewing frame and book cradle (some will be on hand for you to use), decorative paper (at least 2 times 8.5 X 11") you've been saving for a special project.
