In this bookbinding class you'll explore more advanced techniques to create multiple signature books sewn on a frame. Principles of paper grain and adhesives will be covered, more advanced tools and materials will be introduced and explained. You'll learn how to make your own book cloth, work with a book cradle and sewing frame. Apply your new knowledge, tools and materials to create a beautifully bound book- your first of many future editions! Please bring a BTK, sewing frame and cradle (available at studio). Optional: 1/4 yard of fabric (chintz/medium weight). Class size limited to a small group.
