The mission of Chagrin Arts is to enrich life by presenting inspiring performances and stimulating conversations. Every year Chagrin Arts presents a Performing Arts Series that features a variety of artists in music, dance, musical theater and other non-traditional performing arts. Previous artists include Apollo's Fire, Inlet Dance, Musical Theatre Project, Chicago Children's Choir, Acrobats of Cirque-tacular, and an annual music crawl. Additionally, Chagrin Arts presents a dialogue series every summer called Chautauqua-in-Chagrin. For this series, we bring lecturers of both national and local repute to Chagrin Falls in a forum of thought-provoking conversation. Past speakers have included former Ambassador Andrew Young, John Dean --Nixon Whitehouse Counsel during the notorious Watergate Scandal, Miky Wolf -- editor of HBO documentary "Six by Sondheim", and Professor Allan Boesak --former Freedom Fighter alongside Nelson Mandela. We strive to continue to bring inspiring performances and programs to Northeast Ohio, collaborate with other arts and community organizations and work with the schools to involve students in workshops and performances.
