With a population of about 40,000, the City of Dublin has developed a quality of life that brings people in the community together. One of the most meaningful ways this is made possible is with the community-sponsored event. Every March, a St. Patrick's Day is held to recognize Dublin, Ohio's name association with that of Dublin, Ireland. The entertainment and activities include a community parade, musical performances and children's activities. The Independence Day celebration on July 4th is a gathering place for residents to celebrate the holiday with families and neighbors. The entertainment and activities include a community parade, musical acts, children's activities and a fireworks display. The largest event held by the City is the Dublin Irish Festival. Set on 27 rolling acres, it is one of the nation's premier Irish festivals and has gained international acclaim. The Festival promotes Irish music, dance, culture and tradition. The City of Dublin's Halloween "Spooktacular,� held each year in October, includes performances, crafts, storytelling, "Freaky Finds� and "Mad Science� exhibits, fortune telling and the Monster Mash.
