North Market is Columbus' only public market and has been home to butchers, bakers, candy makers, fishmongers, greengrocers and restaurateurs since 1876. It's a great place to shop, eat, mingle and people-watch. Open 7 days a week and home year round to 35 merchants, the building at 59 Spruce Street resembles a turn-of-the-century marketplace. North Market is the perfect place to shop for the highest quality fresh gourmet meats, cheeses, fish, baked goods, produce, ethnic foods, coffee, ice cream, eggs, chocolate, wine, beer, sushi and local culinary souvenirs. The merchant family is augmented during growing season on Saturdays with nearly 25 farmers who sell homegrown produce, flowers, plants, and herbs. The North Market is open Tuesday-Saturday 9 am-7pm, Sunday-Monday 10am-5 pm. Parking costs $1.00 per hour for two hours and $2.00 per hour after with a validation stamp from a North Market merchant.
