"The Light Which Can be Heard" is a vibrant exploration of the symbiotic relationship between light and form. The piece takes inspiration from auroras, also known as northern lights or aurora borealis. Sixteen unique silhouettes of dynamic body postures were fabricated from clear plexiglass. Glass beads (ranging in size from 1/2 inch to 3 inches) with photographic images adhered to the back of the beads are placed and secured onto the plexiglass surfaces with silicone. The photographs are taken from a compilation of images from dance, theater, and music history from around the world.
