He completed the statue during a sabbatical in Italy.; cast at the Fonderia Louige Tommise in villiage of Pietrasanta near Pisa. Anderson visited Philadelphia and Boston to research existing renderings of Franklin. Anderson is known for abstract work- did multiple portrait sculptures at Muskingum.; Funds raised mostly from the Columbus Bar Association and the Columbus Foundation.
