Dayton Contemporary Dance Company is a modern dance company rooted in the African American tradition. DCDC performs in Dayton the first weekend in February and October; sponsors "In the Spirit of..." spiritually inspired dance, with a live gospel choir; and tours nationally. Founded in 1968, by MacArthur fellow Jeraldyne Blunden, DCDC holds the world's largest repertory of classic works by African American choreographers and commissions new work by the best choreographers working today.
