Magical Theatre Company, long one of the finest theatres for young audiences and families in the area, is now a bona fide regional theatre. That was confirmed last year when MTC reached audiences in 23 Northeast Ohio counties. That's right, people from ¼ of the state of Ohio saw a Magical Theatre Company performance in 2011-12. Co-Producing Director Holly Barkdoll was delighted that, "Families from all over the region drive to Barberton for our productions. Forget about the chicken, it's the high quality theatre that brings families - and schools - to town. We've got folks coming not just from Akron and Canton, but from Westlake and Youngstown, Sugarcreek and Mansfield, all over the place. We are truly a regional entity." She credits this growth to envisioning a professional ensemble with total commitment to serving kids and families.
