The Greater Cleveland Urban Film Festival (GCUFF) was created to showcase quality films that promotes awareness, appreciation and merit in the diversity of the African-American community and to celebrate local filmmakers, cinephiles and artists that have achieved national recognition in the world of cinema. The Greater Cleveland Urban Film Festival programming objective is to educate, entertain and highlight the African-American experience via independent films, documentaries and creative expression that represent the African-American journey and to encourage minority students to consider a career in the film industry.
