Apollo's Fire, the Cleveland Baroque Orchestra, performs music from the 17th and 18th centuries on instruments of the period. Our repertoire ranges from Bach to Vivaldi, with occasional forays into later repertoire by Mozart and even Beethoven. Once or twice each season the orchestra is joined by Apollo's Singers, a professional chamber choir, in some of the great choral masterpieces of the baroque era. The orchestra, founded in 1992, is directed by harpsichordist Jeannette Sorrell.
