The Deliver Black Dreams Mural along Fifth Avenue was painted over the weekend of Nov. 7 & 8, 2020 by Columbus-based artists Lisa McLymont (mural designer) Marcus William Billingsley, Hakim Callwood, Shelbi Harris, Francesca Miller and April Sunami. The mural is the first in a series planned for 2020/2021.

Deliver Black Dreams is an initiative led by Marshall Shorts in partnership with Maroon Arts Group, the Greater Columbus Arts Council and the City of Columbus. Deliver Black Dreams is a campaign OF, BY and FOR Black people. While public art is the launch point for Deliver Black Dreams, It is a campaign that seeks long-term change in the culture and across multiple sectors including health, education, culture, safety and more.

Financial support for Deliver Black Dreams comes from American Electric Power, the City of Columbus, Huntington, Ohio State Energy Partners/The Ohio State University, Cardinal Health and the Greater Columbus Arts Council. Additional support comes from Grange Insurance and Sherwin Williams.
