A bronze bust of Colo the gorilla, mounted on an engraved pedestal.

Colo, born at the Columbus Zoo in 1956, was the first gorilla ever to be born in captivity. She was named after her birth city Columbus and was a prominent feature of the zoo for 60 years before dying in January of 2017.

Located by the gorilla enclosure in Congo Expedition Region of the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium.
