Tea is one of the most popular drinks in the world and has an interesting history. Hear details of tea’s travel from China to Europe and North America. Then indulge in a light buffet and Ann Hanby’s Rose Tea. During their time in Westerville, the Hanby family was involved in the illegal activity of helping escaped slaves move northward to freedom. Following the tea buffet, fellow abolitionist John Rankin (portrayed by Ron St. Pierre) of Ripley, Ohio will share his views on slavery and his experiences in the anti-slavery movement.
