The Columbus Folk Music Society is a non-profit society committed to promoting music, dance, storytelling AND community in Columbus, OH. We provide venues for performers of all ages, workshops and teaching opportunities, events and concerts for members and the public, outreaches, connections to other folk and music resources, and an annual Kirby Scholarship award(s) to young musician(s).Events include a yearly series of folk/roots/acoustic concerts, the annual Central Ohio Folk Festival in May, regularly occurring outreaches, and music jams. In 2020, due to COVID, concert events held virtually.
