The centerpiece of the Fine Arts Garden, sculpted by renowned American sculptor Chester Beach. Sculpted out of fine Georgia marble, the two figure groups represent the waters that flow out of the lake and into the land, while the main basin represents the great parent lake, Lake Erie. High reliefs of children on the north and south faces of the fountain represent the flowers that grow on the river banks.

The Fine Arts Garden was conceived as a space where visitors could become one with the universe. The sculpture in the garden personify cosmic and planetary phenomena in bronze and marble. The water flows from the central fountain towards the earth and towards the sun, expressed in bronze sculptures that flank the basin. Surrounding the entire park are plinths carved to express the stars of the zodiac.
