"Crossroads of Commerce Throughout history Ohio-at the center of America's industrial heartland- has been the crossroads of commerce "Crossroads" symbolizes the past and future roles of commerce and the Ohio Chamber in the lives of Ohio citizens. The solid stone bases and classic bronze form symbolize the past. The aluminum frame represents the rise of computer-aided technology. The stainless steel hemispheres open like a seed to reveal a core of glass; the promise of the global economy. "
