For this site-specific work, Leah Wong chose hot colors and repeated the cut-out figures, patterns and flying creatures to provoke a conversation on the environment. As we experience more extreme and more frequent weather, like hurricanes, heat waves and wildfires that devastate human communities and wildlife all over the world; protecting clean air, water and a healthier environment is critical for a more equitable and sustainable future on earth. Individually and collectively, we can play our parts to help create solutions.

You and Me is part of Art Spot, a series of 13 temporary public art installations that explore themes around climate change and conservation. Featuring 14 artists and nine locations in and around downtown Columbus, Art Spot installations are in the windows of partner businesses and nonprofits through the first half of 2023. Art Spot was co-directed by Amy Leibrand and Stephanie Rond.
