"Reflect/Radiate/Accumulate" in the Law Library courtyard expresses several ideas about the law. Two elements are carved stone and large natural granite boulders. ''Reflect'' depicts a ruffled water surface - law is a reflection of society. ''Radiate'' is carved with an expanding ring pattern, a reference to local waterways and economic life in Cleveland - a single legal case may have an effect far beyond the ruling. ''Accumulate'' rises from the earth in an unbroken plane, gradually interrupted by cut-out elements which increase in density and complexity as the plane rises - law is built case by case over the years.
