Jacob Tanner's style is a mixture of classic fine art - old masters paintings and graffiti. Landing a large scale mural project was a goal of his for the past 10 years. The Leviathan is sort of a mythical creature which has popped up in his artwork more than a few times. It's a "shout out" to lost and forgotten places, mythical creatures and forgotten words. Jacob creates a fantasy world, with a stylized character that is truly monumental. The characters in his pieces have a look and feel specific to his style and color palette, often using bright, bold colors and loud expressions. He purposely painted the water and everything under the water darker than all the subject matter above the water wanting that to be a clear contrast that people will notice when they are viewing the piece. Jacob hopes that people will come to their own conclusions and think about what that means to them.
