The Clintonville Area Resource Center, or CRC, is located in what was the Clintonville Branch of the Metropolitan Library at 14 Lakeview. This Tudor-style building was built in 1930 with many book symbols incorporated in the design. Inside, books are featured in the tiles around the fireplace, and library symbols are over the front doors outside. In the early 1970s, a mime troupe also briefly occupied the space. In 1973, the CRC separated from North Broadway Methodist Church, and it has been at this location ever since. This was one of the first branch libraries in the system
