This stretch of High Street between Como and North Broadway features one of the densest concentrations of antique, second-hand, and vintage shops in Columbus. Be sure to check out the interesting storefronts, and peak up at the Antique sign in front of Eclectiques Antique Mall at Como and High.
As you walk along N. High Street, you’ll see two urban design features that contribute to the safety of a pedestrian friendly Clintonville. The "bump-outs" with circular black steel bike racks, benches and trash receptacles were added between 2004 and 2005 by local property owners and the city as part of street resurfacing and curbs and sidewalks rebuilding.
On the west side of the street, green Clintonville banners on acorn light posts run from Arcadia Ave. up to Morse Road. Obtained through state funding and administered by Clintonville Incorporated, the banners are a nod to the past as Clintonville used to line the street with American Flags for Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day. In preparation for the winter holiday, the community would also have a flag designing contest, and the winning flag would line High Street for the holiday season. Some homeowners also fly the Clintonville Flag, a stained glass design with a rose, or other colorful flags that represent their part of the community.
