Specializing in painting and printmaking, Dan Rohn received degrees from the Cleveland Institute of Art and the Yale University School of Art. He taught at Kent State University and conducted their Master's program in lithography for many years. Many of Akron's early buildings were constructed of stone quarried from within the city and around northeast Ohio. Peninsula, north of Akron, is well known for its stone quarries, the remains of which are still visible today.
