Constructed in the early 1900s, this brick cottage was built as a wedding gift for the daughter of the residents of 549 South Sixth Street, the larger home at the corner of Jackson and Sixth. Known locally as “the honeymoon cottage,” the structure is a classic example of German Village architecture. In 1973, the home was dramatically renovated and a previously added front porch was removed to return the home to its original design.
