The Columbus School for Girls was first located in a mansion adjacent to this property. 738 Bryden served as“The Lodge,” as it housed out of town students coming in from as far away as Granville and Newark. At one time, there was also a gym building that sat between “The Lodge” and the mansion. Columbus School for Girls moved to Bexley in 1953 and the Parsons mansion was demolished. The Lodge was renovated in 2017 and today provides 12 luxury apartments.
