This monument on Third Street honors Ohio women and men who have served their country since World War II. Two curved limestone walls are engraved with letters sent to families, friends and loved ones from members of the armed forces, some of whom never returned home. Veterans Plaza also has two fountains. For special occasions, 88 county flags or 88 Ohio flags are flown on the Plaza.
